the ajaks are simply bipolar leds housed inside a 3.5mm mono jack. the two leds respond to different polarities of voltage, as shown below:
ajak1:
+ = red
- = yellow
ajak2:
+ = blue
- = red
the colors fade in and out, so at 0v the led is totally dim, but with an increasing magnitude of positive or negative voltage the color becomes brighter.
